A Marine’s running log of the politicians, media hacks, and permanent bureaucrats America is sick of tolerating.
What Is “Loser Fatigue”?
Back in the day, I thought anger was the default setting for American politics. But somewhere along the way, anger burned out and turned into something heavier, older, and a lot more tired.
That’s Loser Fatigue.
Loser Fatigue is that burned-out, eye-rolling, soul-tired feeling you get when the same losers keep failing upward – lecturing the rest of us, cashing their checks on time, and walking away from every disaster they helped create.
It’s what happens when:
- The rules never apply to the people writing them.
- “Public service” turns into a lifetime pension plan and a book deal.
- The folks who screwed everything up get promoted, re-elected, or put on a cable news panel.
On Chatrodamus, Loser Fatigue is my running case file of the worst repeat offenders. This isn’t about mild disagreements or “I don’t like their policies.” This is about people who have earned a permanent place in the Hall of Shame.
If you’re new here and wondering who the hell is writing all this, you can meet the man behind the bunker — an old Marine now broadcasting from the Philippines.
For the full breakdown and origin story, read the core explainer: What Is “Loser Fatigue”—and Why So Many Americans Feel It .
Why Americans Are Running Out of Patience
Most normal people don’t live on Twitter. They’re not refreshing the news every five minutes. They’re out there working, raising kids, paying taxes, and trying to hold it together while the people in charge keep lighting fires and handing out gasoline.
Loser Fatigue is what you feel when:
- Scandals never end – and consequences never arrive.
The powerful lie, leak, and lawyer up. Regular Americans get raided at dawn. - The media runs cover instead of running the truth.
“Journalists” act like defense attorneys for their favorite side and prosecutors for everyone else. If you’re tired of that, you’re not alone. See my Media Madness column for examples. - We’re living inside a two-tiered justice system.
If you’re a regular Joe Everyman, the rules are the rules. If you’re a connected insider, the rules are “guidelines” with a press conference.
If you want a deeper dive into how power protects itself, I’m also running a series called HUAC 2.0 – The Chatrodamus Case Files, which looks at abuse of power in the modern era. You can find that here: HUAC 2.0.
How Someone Earns a “Loser Fatigue” Tag
Not everyone I disagree with gets tagged as Loser Fatigue. This isn’t about “my team vs. your team.” It’s about repeat offenders who have made a career out of failure, hypocrisy, and grift.
1. Chronic Hypocrisy
Do they talk like saints and live like swamp creatures? Do they demand sacrifice from everyone else while carving out exemptions for themselves and their friends?
Examples: the politician who screams about climate while flying private everywhere, the law-and-order crusader who mysteriously sidesteps every investigation.
See a classic case in action here: Loser Fatigue – Maxine Waters.
2. Proven Incompetence
Everybody makes mistakes. I’m talking about the ones who make disaster a lifestyle. They break things, double down, and somehow keep getting promoted or re-elected.
Government agencies botch an operation? Nobody fired. Billions lost? “Lessons were learned.” Sure they were.
3. Grift & Self-Enrichment
Public office as a family business, as demonstrated by the Biden clan. Revolving doors between “public service” and lobby firms. Book deals, PACs, foundations, and “non-profits” that always seem to benefit the same small circle.
When their net worth grows faster than their district, they’re on my radar.
4. Open Contempt for Ordinary People
If you sneer at the people who keep this country running – truckers, cops, small business owners, vets, working families, the “little people” (thanks Leona H.) – you’re a prime candidate for Loser Fatigue. The accent might be fancy, the suit might be tailored, but the attitude says it all.
When a person checks multiple boxes above, they’ve earned a permanent slot in the case files.
Loser Fatigue on Steroids: The Peter Principle in Politics
There’s an old idea from the business world called the Peter Principle: people get promoted based on how well they’re doing in their current role—until they rise to a level where they’re no longer competent. Then they stay stuck there, doing damage, because nobody wants to admit the promotion was a mistake.
Now apply that to politics and you get Loser Fatigue on steroids.
In theory, politicians should be promoted because they’ve proven they can lead, solve problems, and deliver results. In reality, they’re often elevated because they’re good at rhetoric, fundraising, and being useful to the party machine—skills that have nothing to do with running a country.
A rising star can be very effective at one level—firing off viral soundbites, raising money, whipping up the base—but that doesn’t mean they’re remotely qualified for the next rung up the ladder.
Take a figure like AOC. There’s already buzz about her as a future Democrat frontrunner, maybe even a presidential hopeful in 2028. But just because someone is a master of social media and outrage doesn’t mean they’d make a good President of the United States. In my opinion, as a congresswoman she’s already hit her “final placement”—the point where the Peter Principle says, “That’s as high as she can go before the wheels come off.”
Here’s how it plays out:
- Promotion criteria: Politicians are promoted because they’re effective at their current job—media hits, fundraising, ideological purity tests—not because they have the skills, wisdom, or temperament needed for the next level.
- The “final placement”: Once they reach a high enough office, their performance is no longer measured by hard results. They’re judged by vibes, narratives, and how well they protect the brand. Failure gets spun away instead of punished.
- The consequence: The country gets saddled with senators, governors, cabinet secretaries, and presidents who are completely out of their depth. They look great on a poster, bomb on substance, and the rest of us live with the fallout.
So when I tag someone with Loser Fatigue, I’m not just saying, “I don’t like this person.” I’m saying: the Peter Principle has done its job. They’ve risen to their highest level of incompetence—and we’re the ones paying for it.
The Loser Fatigue Case Files (Hall of Shame)
Below is a live index of everyone who’s made it into the Loser Fatigue case files so far. This list will keep growing as new clowns step up to the microphone.
Politicians
- Maxine Waters – Loser Fatigue at 87 with a perpetual frown.
Decades in office, plenty of soundbites, not a lot of results. When you’ve been part of the problem longer than most voters have been alive, you’re not “historic” – you’re overdue for retirement. - Nancy Pelosi – Tearing Up the State of the Union, Tearing Up Trust
That speech-ripping stunt on live TV told you everything you needed to know about respect for the office and for half the country watching at home. - Leticia James – This delusional NY AG keeps insisting Trump is weaponizing the justice system against her as payback for the very same thing she prosecuted him for, beating her chest with her BS line: “no one is above the law” “we will not give up” claiming it’s all just a conspiracy of revenge.
- Hilarious Clinton – I’ll say it straight: I do not like Hillary Clinton. For a quarter-century she’s inspired a national neurosis—an endless loop of interviews asking why she’s mistrusted, detested, or “problematic.
- Ilhan Omar – Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is in deep doodoo now and may face deportation if it can be proven she scammed immigration to the US by marrying her own brother. Not to mention being involved in the Feed Our Future scam.
- Debbie Wasserman Schultz – The woman who managed to turn a WikiLeaks dumpster fire into a promotion from Team Hillary and a long, comfy ride in a safe Florida seat.
- Jasmine Crockett – This idiot just launched her bid to be elected as a senator from Texas. And she still can’t tell two Jeffrey Epsteins apart—then doubles down like nothing happened.
- Kamala Harris – Somewhere along the way, the ex-Vice President of the United States decided her primary job description would be “Chief Word Salad Engineer.” This woman is a cackling moron who still thinks she has a chance in 28. Dream on!
Media & “Journalists”
- Jose Antonio Vargas: A Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, he came out as an undocumented immigrant in 2011 and has since become a leading advocate for immigration reform, founding the organization Define American, – The Anchor Who Became an Activist
Night after night of talking points dressed up as “breaking news.

The Loser Fatigue Scale (How Bad Is It?)
Not all losers are created equal. Some are just annoying background noise. Others are full-blown, five-alarm dumpster fires.
Here’s how I rank them on the Loser Fatigue Scale from 0 to 10:
- 0–3: Irritating, but still salvageable.
They’re wrong a lot, but not beyond redemption. Yet. - 4–6: Chronic Loser.
Long history of bad decisions, bad policy, or bad behavior. Still in power, still doing damage. - 7–8: Hazardous to the Republic.
Every year they stay in power, trust in the system drops another notch. - 9–10: Get This Clown Out of Power Yesterday.
The kind of person who makes you seriously rethink term limits, ethics rules, and maybe the entire system.
Each case file includes a Loser Fatigue score so you know exactly how far gone they are.
Nominate the Next Loser
I don’t have a research staff. What I do have is a lifetime of BS detection, a Marine’s sense of duty, and readers who see what’s happening in their own backyard.
If there’s someone you think belongs in the Loser Fatigue case files, don’t just yell at the TV. Tell me about it.
- Drop a comment below with your nominee and why they’ve earned the title.
- Or email me directly with links, receipts, and your own take.
Guidelines:
- Stick to public figures – politicians, media personalities, agency heads, corporate types.
- Tell me what they did, not just that you “don’t like them.”
- If you’re a vet, cop, or public servant who’s seen it from the inside, I definitely want to hear from you.
Your tips help decide who ends up in the crosshairs next.
