Loser Fatigue Case File: Hillary Clinton

Twenty-five years of baggage, spin, and déjà vu. Why is she still on my screen?

I’ll say it straight: I do not like Hillary Clinton. For a quarter-century she’s inspired a national neurosis—an endless loop of interviews asking why she’s mistrusted, detested, or “problematic.” Depending on the year, the claims about her have ranged from the unhinged to the well-documented, but the result is the same: America has Hillary Derangement Syndrome, and the media can’t quit her.

So why does she still have a voice? Is it pure longevity—no novelty, no charisma, just institutional inertia? Or is it that she perfectly embodies the establishment class I’m beyond tired of hearing her lecture the “little people”?

The pattern (as I see it)

Over decades, a familiar rhythm repeats: deny, redact, “no intent,” then pivot.

• Email-server saga: She publicly claimed she’d turned over everything she was obligated to. Later, the FBI said it found thousands of work-related emails not among the 30,000 she returned and confirmed messages that were classified at the time. The Washington Post’s Fact Checker gave her “Four Pinocchios” for declaring her answers were “truthful.”
• Benghazi split-screen: Publicly referencing a video as unrest flared, while privately telling family and foreign leaders it was a planned attack. Whatever your tolerance for nuance, that’s a trust killer.
• Bosnia “sniper fire”: Claimed she landed under fire and ran for cover; video shows a calm tarmac greeting and a child reading her a poem.
• Grandparents-as-immigrants: Presented a family story one way until records showed most were born in the U.S.—then reframed it as “they always spoke about the immigrant experience.”
• Safire’s “congenital liar” column (1996): Whitewater, Travel Office firings, Madison S&L lawyering, and that miraculous commodities trade—an early, memorable indictment of her credibility from a major columnist.

Add to that the whiplash on policy (NAFTA, same-sex marriage “evolutions”), the paid speeches to Wall Street, and the Clinton Foundation taking money from regimes the left otherwise scolds. No charges on most of it—but the aroma lingers. “She messed up, no evil intent” isn’t exactly confidence-inspiring for someone who wants levers of power. (we can thank all that’s holy she did not win the presidency in 2016)

Why the fatigue is different with her

• Insincerity factor: She often sounds manufactured—like a consultant deck learned to talk.
• Elitism tell: From the secretive health-care task force days to the private-server logic, the vibe is “Trust me, peasant.”
• Money + access optics: Big-dollar speeches and foundation donors aren’t crimes by themselves, but they’re red flags for ordinary Americans who don’t get to buy the microphone.
• Media addiction: The political press treats her like a perennial main character. For many of us, she’s the Howard Cosell of politics—can’t stand her, can’t escape her.

“But what about the latest dust-up?”

You’ll still find her weighing in on whatever Trump touches (even down to renovations). She is even being mocked by the media for her 2001 furniture scandal amid her meltdown over Trump ballroom renovation, conveniently forgetting her theft of White House “gifts” after leaving. My stance: nearly every First Family renovates something. If it’s not taxpayer-funded, spare me the clutching of pearls—especially from someone who did her own redecorating era and left with… let’s just call it controversial “souvenirs.”

So… why does she still have a voice?

• She represents establishment continuity.
• She’s ratings catnip—love-to-hate drives clicks.
• She will always be one interview away from another “explainer” about her truthfulness.

And that’s the core of Loser Fatigue: it’s not only about losing elections; it’s about losing public trust so thoroughly that even when you might be right, no one wants to hear you.
