Charlie Kirk asked a blue-haired student to explain what “queer” means. Her answer? She couldn’t.
That one moment stuck with me. Back when I was young, queer was an insult, plain and simple. Today, it’s worn as a badge of honor — even by people who can’t define it. So, what does it really mean anymore?
That question opens the door to bigger ones I’ve carried for a long time. Have psychologists ever studied the long-term effects of growing up on the outside — being obese, disfigured, awkward, bullied, ignored, or rejected by the opposite sex? Imagine waking up a thousand mornings, looking in the mirror, and hating what you see. Loved only by your parents, if at all.
Fast forward, and suddenly “different” is in. Blue hair, piercings, tattoos, radical politics, rage-filled activism — all validated by DEI culture. For the first time, the “Abby Normals” (thank you, Young Frankenstein) are celebrated. But here’s the real question: are these the same people who are so full of hate — maybe of themselves more than others — that they project it into the world?
Are these the ones who demonstrate not out of conviction but for a paycheck? The ones who, after years of seeing a face they despise in the mirror, are shaped into something tragic? Are they tomorrow’s road ragers? The school shooters? The ones driving into parades, supporting men in women’s sports, cheering illegal immigration, hating ICE, and screaming “xenophobia” at a pair of blue jeans because envy keeps them from looking like Sydney Sweeney?
Watch a sovereign citizen traffic-stop video and tell me those people don’t fit this mold. They act entitled, refuse basic respect, and you can see immediately they’re not the type you’d ever want to associate with.
And here’s something else I’ve noticed: have you ever seen an attractive or beautiful woman leading a protest? I haven’t. Why is that? Who came up with the term “Karen,” anyway? Wasn’t it just a shorthand for loud, joyless people who insert themselves into situations just to be confrontational?
I don’t ask this to be cruel. I ask because I’m curious. What really shapes people into what they become? Is it environment, bad parenting, bullying, body shaming, or just plain envy?
And most importantly: if these “Abby Normals” are the ones who can’t explain their own identities, yet scream the loudest at the rest of us — why are we letting them define the culture?
