Bitcoin Is Not for Joe Everyman

Every few months, the headlines crank up: ā€œBitcoin hits a new high! Millionaires minted overnight! Don’t miss the revolution!ā€
And every time, some Joe Everyman out there thinks, Maybe this is my chance. He pulls out the credit card, signs up for an exchange he barely understands, and convinces himself he’s about to ride the rocket to Easy Street.

But here’s the truth:

Bitcoin was never built for Joe Everyman. It was built for the tech-savvy, the libertarians, the early adopters with nerves of steel and money to lose. It was built for guys who can shrug off a 40% drop in a week, not the guy whose stomach flips when gas prices jump ten cents.

Bitcoin doesn’t care about your mortgage, your kids’ braces, or the fact that your paycheck barely stretches now. Joe Everyman doesn’t need volatility—he needs stability. He needs predictability. He needs to know that when he walks into the grocery store, his money is still worth what it was last week.

But Bitcoin? It’s a casino chip dressed up as a currency. And in every casino, Joe Everyman is the sucker at the table. Sure, a few lucky Joes bought early and cashed out. Most didn’t. Just ask prisoner # 46791, Sam Bankman Fried

Most held on until the crash wiped out their ā€œsure thing.ā€ Most learned too late that Bitcoin’s biggest winners are the whales, the traders, and the guys who already had money to burn. The irony is rich. Bitcoin was supposed to be the ā€œpeople’s money.ā€ Instead, it’s become the playground of speculators, hedge funds, and influencers pumping you while they dump. Joe Everyman deserves better than that. He doesn’t need to gamble his rent check on a blockchain. He needs a system that works for him—not one where he’s the exit liquidity.

I got the best financial advice ever from a guy who never played the market but yet got rich with a simple philosophy, my Father. At the time I thought it was just another cute little Dadism, not to be taken seriously but if I had only listened. His advice? simple: “Son, if you want to double your money, fold it twice and put it in your pocket”

Chatrodamus Predicts:

The next time Joe Everyman hears ā€œBitcoin is the future,ā€ it’ll be from some guy cashing out while he’s still holding the bag.
