Say the quiet part out loud, then show the receipt. Here it is:
Evidence. Incentives. Consequences.
Why This Is Racist (duh)
Doreen St. Félix, the New Yorker writer who says that “white people ‘fill [her] with a lot of hate’ and believes that whites are genetically predisposed to causing plagues“.
— Source August 17, 2025At least she has the balls to say what a lot of African Americans are thinking!
- Targets a whole group by race with negative traits instead of criticizing specific actions or ideas.
- Collective guilt: treats individuals as responsible for stereotypes or history they didn’t create.
- Dehumanizing language that normalizes hostility and harassment.
Why It Matters on Campus & In Public
- Chills speech: students and staff feel unsafe to speak or even show up.
- Double standards: if one group’s slurs are tolerated, standards become political, not principled.
- Escalation risk: hostile speech → harassment → threats → violence. We stop it at the speech-harassment line.
The Standard We Apply to Everyone
- Judge behavior and ideas, not skin color or ancestry.
- Enforce one set of rules: no slurs, no harassment, no blockades—no matter who says it.
- Protect classmates first: access to class, library, and labs is non-negotiable.
Note: We criticize the speaker’s statement, not their race. If you have better context that changes the meaning, show it. Otherwise, the words stand on their own.
My rule: Some people will tell you the quiet part out loud. When they do, I quote them directly, link the proof, and explain exactly why that statement is racist. I judge ideas and actions—not skin color. Same rules. For everyone.
