UPDATE – December 2025: The Schiff Mortgage Fraud “Probe into the Probe”
The Adam Schiff mortgage fraud case has now morphed into a classic D.C. special: a probe into the probe. The DOJ is investigating how Trump-aligned officials — including FHFA Director Bill Pulte — pushed a criminal referral against Schiff for allegedly falsifying property records to score better mortgage rates.
A federal grand jury is now digging into possible witness tampering and misconduct tied to that referral, questioning people like activist Christine Bish, who claimed to be a key witness, about her communications with those officials. The storyline is shifting from “Did Schiff game the system?” to “Did the people chasing Schiff cross the line?” — with plenty of hints that the original case may have been politically motivated or badly handled.
Schiff, of course, denies any wrongdoing and is already framing the whole thing as another “politically charged smear.” Chatrodamus translation: Washington is once again focused on protecting the process, not the truth — and Shifty is still right in the middle of it.
Only in politics, with losers like Schiff, do you get phrases like “a probe into the probe.” These people have turned accountability into an Escher staircase — investigations going in circles, never up or down. It’s the same crowd that once told us, “It depends on what the definition of is is,” huh, Bill?
Original story from August 2025 continues below:
Adam Schiff, California Democrat and serial spotlight hog, is back in the news—this time not for his usual tall tales on Capitol Hill but for something closer to home: mortgage fraud. Yes, the same stuff that sends us mere mortals to jail if we so much as round up on an income figure.
Apparently, Schiff just graduated from the Letitia James School of Mortgage Manipulation—because if you’re going to bend the truth, why stop at cable news interviews when you can do it on loan applications?

- Schiff allegedly lied on mortgage forms to snag better rates—a move that, if true, screams “rules for thee, not for me.”
- If Letitia James (New York’s crusader AG) can run the Trump hit parade while padding her own mortgage numbers, why can’t Schiff join the alumni club?
- Meanwhile, ordinary Americans get hammered for honest mistakes on mortgage forms. Fines, audits, and even federal prison are on the table for us schleps, but the political class? Different set of rules.
“It’s not fraud, it’s creative financing.” – Probably Schiff, probably never… but wouldn’t surprise us.
And here we are, now in September, more than a month after this story first broke and we gotta go digging for the follow up:
AG Bondi tapped Ed Martin, a conservative activist and former interim U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C., as special attorney to investigate Schiff and Letitia James, both prominent Democratic opponents of the president, the two administration officials said. As of December 2025 James is currently off the hook with the refusal to indict by the grand jury. Her case is ongoing but we suspect that because of the color of her skin and her role as AG of New York she is one of those politicians too big to fail.
A senior law enforcement official said a grand jury seated in the Eastern District of Virginia will investigate the James mortgage fraud allegations and a grand jury in Maryland will investigate the allegations against Schiff. This grand jury must have been composed of illiterates, they could not read a mortgage application and see the fraud in black and white and fail to indict.
Are they just depending on the short memories of Americans and hoping all this will go away? When will we discover Martin and Schiff are old college chums?
