Where the Index Says We Are Now
Season 1’s verdict, using the Chatrodamus 5-Level Index:
- We are not in a shooting civil war.
- But most of Beck’s pre-war steps (1–7) are at least partially in place.
- The current reading, across all Case Files, hovers around:
Level 3–4: Hot Spots drifting into Shadow Armies.
The good news:
Steps 8 (trigger event) and 9 (point of no return) have not happened.
The bad news:
We’re stacking dry timber in a fireworks factory during an election cycle that’s already shaping up to be insane.
How to Use This Series Going Into 2026 Madness
Think of the Civil War Warning Index as a field guide, not a horror story:
- Start at Case File 001 and read in order.
It’s designed as a progression: trust → identity → gatekeepers → info → law → violence → shadow armies → trigger → point of no return. - Use the dual ratings in each file.
- Beck Step tells you where we are on the 9-step ladder.
- Chatrodamus Index tells you how hot the situation feels on the 1–5 scale.
- Watch real events and ask, “Which step is this feeding?”
Don’t just ask “Who’s winning?”
Ask “Which step does this push us toward—and is that worth it?” - Share selectively with people who can still think.
This isn’t designed for doom-scrollers; it’s for the 10–20% who still care more about a functioning country than dunking on the other tribe. - Use the De-Escalation Protocols as a checklist.
Each Case File ends with concrete things ordinary people and leaders could do to walk us back from the edge. Pick one and actually do it.
What Comes Next – Season 2
Season 1 mapped the conditions.
If you stick around for Season 2, here’s what you can expect from the bunker:

- Updates when the Index reading moves up or down.

Document the danger.
